In week seven, we’re going to take a look at creating all the volumetric FX, and learn how to efficiently work with heavy res geometry. In week six, we will start by looking into creating a secondary sims using particles, and using that technique to create debris on our sims.

In week five, we’re going to continue working on our RBD system. In week four, we will continue setting up the parts of the building while focusing on wood structure and rooftop. In week three, we’re going to create the primary RBD sim and all the constraints needed to get the look that we want. In week two, we will start looking at geometry fracturing and creating our own systems for fracturing concrete and wood. In week one, we will take an in-depth look at the project and the various problem that we may face. This class will test and push your skills to the limit. In this course, we will show you all of the different ways you can develop production-quality destruction. It’s time to shake the ground and tear down the house! Destruction is the bread and butter for any seasoned FX artist. Houdini has become the go-to tool in the FX industry. which from an industry standpoint is super important, else everyone from Rebelway will walk away with the same portfolio. In this course, you’ll learn how professional VFX artists approach complex destruction FX in Houdini. then he really asks you to use the information acquired and make something similar or push it further/give it a twist. In terms of workload its up to you, Brad gives you a very solid base to work from, you’d be recreating all the assets shown probably, or he’ll subtely leave stuff out, which if you follow the course can make yourself. but the cool thing is everyone in the server is a student so they help each other out similar to our RTVFX server, but then dedicated to the assets your working on. you can still acess to the content, and no doubt you’d still be able to ask brad for help. If you fall behind like I did (Still need to finish it Hahah). there’s a system in place which sparsely drops new videos with a different Topic/Asset every week, each video being anywhere from 10 up to 40/50 mins (Max). Good question Travis, I joined the first Real-Time VFX by brad, essentially you get your own dedicated discord server, where you can infinitely ask question, during the 8week course and you’re always welcome to ask question afterwards.
